Vinoy Park

Have you been wondering about the progress of the St. Petersburg Pier recently? Well, you can put together a picnic and go see it for yourself with views from Vinoy Park! In addition to having an area where you can see the Pier progress, you can also sight dolphins bobbing along the seawall of the park as dusk sets in. 

Dunedin Causeway

If you want to picnic with your toes in the sand, this is the spot for you. The Dunedin Causeway stretches for 2.5 miles with a small beach on either side that's perfect for pitching a blanket, or a hammock. Pack up your favorite lunch, lather on some sunscreen, and go savor the scenery that Florida has to offer at this spot next time you're ready for a picnic. 

Safety Harbor Pier

Located in the heart of Downtown Safety Harbor, the Safety Harbor Pier offers several great spots for picnicking, even on a rainy day. You can carry your basket down the pier and enjoy a beautiful overlook of the bay or settle in under one of their covered pavilions and enjoy a picnic with views of the adjacent marina. 

Crescent Lake Park

Tucked behind 4th Street in St. Petersburg, Crescent Lake Park offers plenty of room to picnic and play. Large oaks provide shady spots all around the lake, or you can soak up some sunshine in the field at the north end of the park. A playground overlooking the lake offers endless entertainment for any young picnickers.

Demen's Landing

This St. Petersburg waterfront park stands out from the rest as a great picnic spot because of its view of planes taking off and landing at Albert Whitted Airport. As you take a bite out of your favorite sandwich, you can watch sailboats and buzzing bumblebees float by, too.

John Chesnut Senior Park

In Palm Harbor, John Chestnut is an outstanding picnic destination. Tall piney fields offer plenty of shade, and cool breezes to make for the most pleasant of outdoor meals.
