Returning for the 9th straight year, Treasure Island's Master Cup Sand Sculpting Competition and Music Festival takes place all weekend long on the beach at 104th Avenue and Gulf Boulevard. The event runs morning to night on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with activities for all ages to enjoy and the best part... it's free to attend!

The four-day competition brings ten world-class sand sculpting masters from throughout North America, Europe and Asia who create the sculptures using nothing but sand and water. This invitational competition has grown to be the largest masters competition in the Southeast United States.

The top three sculptures and a "Peoples Choice" will be awarded over $12,000 in cash prizes. Judging takes place on Saturday afternoon from 3 p.m to 6 p.m with a fireworks display to follow shortly after.

A variety of food and drink vendors will be set up as a beach food court near the arts and crafts marketplace. Over 10 of the Bay's best bands will perform on the concert stage over the course of the three days as well.

Treasure Island, the Sand Sculpture of Florida, encourages everyone to come and check out this event at some point this weekend. The city is suggesting you park at the Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis Club and then take a shuttle over to the beach. The shuttle is $1 per person and more information can be found here
