After closing up shop for a massive renovation in November, Downtown Clearwater's Capitol Theatre has announced a lineup of more than 30 different shows for its 2013-14 season.

Kicking off with an inaugural concert by five-time Grammy Award-winner Michael McDonald on December 18, the all-new Capitol Theatre will play host to a variety of shows from entertainers including Jay Leno (Feb. 9), Michael Bolton (March 10), Katherine McPhee (Jan. 11), Joan Rivers (March 14), Sinbad (Dec. 19), Edwin McCain (Feb. 20) and more throughout the season.

Tickets to all 2013-14 season shows at the Capitol Theatre go on sale beginning Friday, August 23 at noon.  For tickets and more information, visit atthecap.com.

Constructed in 1921 and now, one of Florida’s oldest operating theaters, the intimate Capitol Theatre is currently undergoing a $7.5 million renovation funded by its owners, Ruth Eckerd Hall as well as the City of Clearwater.

Once re-opened in December, the Capitol Theatre will boast 750 new seats (including six private lodge boxes), a larger box office, additional restrooms, multiple concession stands, more star dressing rooms, a larger lobby, VIP room, balcony, roof top terrace, ADA accessibility, and more according to their website.
