If there's one great live music city in the 727 area, it's got to be St. Petersburg.  Walking downtown, you can hear music emanating from the clubs on most nights of the week and venues like Jannus Live and State Theatre play home to a wide variety of national recording artists coming through this great town.   If there's one thing that's certain, live music in St. Petersburg is not going anywhere for a long time.

There are a ton of venues across this town of ours.  Some of the best places for live music in St. Pete are located downtown.  Small clubs like The Local 662 and Fubar are great places to catch some underground music in an intimate setting.  Enjoy some of the best, local acts playing anything from bluegrass to jazz, electronica and more at these small venues in a way big theaters and arenas can't provide.

Speaking of theaters, The State Theatre is a great, albeit larger, venue to catch concerts in St. Petersburg.  This historic building plays host to a number of national recording artists and big-name local acts all throughout the year and is pretty much the face of great live music in St. Pete.

Jannus Live is St. Petersburg's premier outdoor venue and another great option for concerts in St. Pete.  This recently renovated outdoor courtyard boasts an impeccable sound system, two stories, and multiple bars throughout the venue.  If you want some beautiful Florida weather and scenery alongside your live music in St. Pete, then Jannus Live is a great bet.

As you can see, there's no shortage of options when it comes to live music in St. Petersburg.  Explore the city today and hear some great music tonight.  Who knows? You might fall in love with something you've never heard before.
