Dating is not always cheap.  When you're a college student, sometimes there's barely enough cash for ramen let alone dinner and a movie. Here are some ideas for fun for two that won’t break the bank.

October Music and Movies in the Park - Grab a picnic basket and head to North Straub Park to watch some of your favorites on an outdoor screen and listen to local artists.  This will be going on every thursday for the month of October, so take up this free event while you can!

Gulfport Casino Swing Night - Try some good old fashioned fun with a night of swing dancing every Wednesday. Admission is only $7 and you can get free lessons from 7 to 8 p.m. then dance the night away from 8 to midnight!  Students get two-for-one admission.

Pops in the Park - On October 22, the Florida Orchestra returns to the Vinoy Park for another glorious night of music under the stars. It’s free and so are the fireworks after!

St. Pete Shuffle at St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club - Every Friday night shuffleboard is free from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Try out this new place to be in St. Pete.

Williams Park Wednesday Picnic & Music Series -  Every Wednesday in October play corn hole and more games, watch a movie and listen to live music. Stroll to your favorite downtown restaurant and pick up a lunch or pack your own picnic!

Boyd Hill Nature Preserve Night Hike - Every third Tuesday Boyd Hill offers a night hike from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. where you can discover all the creepy creatures of the night on a romantic stroll.
