The Rays Summer Concert Series is back! For the price of a single ticket on select Saturday (and one Sunday this year) home games, Rays fans will be able to enjoy a free concert from center field right after that game.

This isn’t any 3-song shenanigans either. You definitely get an entire concert's worth of music from notable artists like Adam Lambert, Train, Vanilla Ice, and Nelly; all who performed during last year’s concert series.

2011 is gearing up to be just the same. Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish fame is set to kick off the summer concert series this year on Saturday, May 14th after the Rays game against the Orioles.

If you’ve got em, you’re little tykes will likely freak over the prospect of the Wiggles coming to the Trop. After the Sunday, July 3rd game against the Cardinals, the world’s premier children entertainers, the Wiggles, will perform a family friendly show loaded with hits like “Sound Your Funky Horn”, “Clap Your Hands With Dorothy”, and “Hot Potato”.

Up next is the Goo Goo Dolls after the August 6th game against the Athletics. Known across the world for hits like “Iris” from the City of Angels soundtrack and “Slide”, the Goo Goo Dolls have sold over 9 million albums in just the U.S. alone.

Miranda Cosgrove is another great concert opportunity for the kids. They probably know her as iCarly of Disney Channel fame, but either way she’ll be rocking the Trop after the September 3rd game against the Orioles.

And finally, the last in line (for now, at least) in the Summer Concert Series is country star, Miranda Lambert, performing after the September 24th game against the Blue Jays. Miranda’s first album, 2005’s Kerosene, went platinum, and she’s the crafter of country hits like “More Like Her”, “Kerosene”, and “Bring Me Down”.

For most of these concerts, you’ll be able to buy an on-field pass for $25 to watch the concert up close and personal.

Of course, be sure to check out all the great St. Pete nightlife and restaurants surrounding the Trop. Ferg’s Sports Bar and Grill is great for pre and post game food and drink, and clubs like Push and Vintage Ultra Lounge will be great for dancing off any of that pent up energy from a hopeful Rays win.

Pick a Saturday, grab some tickets, and enjoy two great shows for the price of one all summer long at the Trop!
