American Stage will be following select performances of FUN HOME with the Apprentice Original Piece, THE GAP AND THE GLUE: Written, directed, and performed by American Stages 2018/19 ASFWD Apprentices.

Join the apprentices in their exploration of censorship, power, and the theatre’s role within it. FREE and open to the public.
LISTEN. OUT LOUD. Four actors face the consequences of censorship when the government issues a mandatory ban on theatrical performance. In the forty minutes before the house opens for a very important festival, they scramble to make the show go on despite the fact that crucial elements are disappearing. Personalities collide as they fight against the system to maintain hope and keep the theatre from collapsing in on itself. Come and share in the self-written, directed, and designed work of the 2018/19 ASFWD Apprentices.
