I was lucky enough to see Jitney this past weekend at American Stage. The show was one of the most well put-together shows I've seen in years. The pace was quick and the humor was bright and witty (not an easy thing to accomplish in a show that pushes two and a half hours). The acting was sublime, each character was well developed and extremely naturalistic. Cannot rate this show high enough.

Pros: Acting, Scenic Design, Vision, Clarity, A theatre that is willing to commit 10 years to August Wilson's cycle, a full 20% of their shows for a decade.

Cons: The night that I went parking was a little rough because of a fair or festival that isn't usually there.
