Jordan Rubin and Rubaid Rajwani, the co-owners of R&R Motorsports Collection in Largo, as well as Cars of Florida in North Tampa, are building their businesses one personal experience at a time. The University of South Florida alums and car enthusiasts started their business two years ago to fill a niche, as Rubin and Rajwani offer their customers a more personal, friendly car-buying experience from people who know cars.
"We only pick vehicles we would drive ourselves, and therefore (we) know all the features and qualities with that vehicle," Rubin said. "We are the consumers testing it out before you are."
The business partners met at USF on Jordan's first day of college, and they became fast friends based on their mutual love of cars. Their friendship set events in motion which led to Rubin and Rajwani quitting their jobs and pursuing their interest as entrepreneurs in January 2016.
All vehicles are inspected and tested before they are brought to the R&R Motorsports Collection lot. While you can find all sorts of makes, models, and styles on their lot, there is an emphasis on late-model luxury cars. You will find pre-owned Mercedes, BMWs, and Audis, all affordably priced to help provide you the opportunity to experience a luxury vehicle for less.
Part of R&R Motorsports Collection's personal experience is a concierge service to help you find the exact vehicle you want, even if they don't have it in their inventory. R&R provides the customer a boutique car buying experience, without any of those pushy salespeople steering you towards a car you may not really want.
"We are non-salesman," Rubin said. "We provide a relaxed atmosphere and let the cars sell themselves."
