There's no shortage of great barbecue in St. Pete, and the city's hardly yearning for more craft beer bars and breweries, but these two entities have never joined forces, until now.

Recently opened in Downtown St. Pete's Grand Central District, Urban Brew and BBQ combines the best of slow-smoked barbecue eats and a rotating assortment of big name and local craft beers, making for a one of a kind dining and drinking experience.

This fast casual restaurant, located at 1939 Central Ave. (near the intersection of Central Ave. and 19th St. N.), specializes in a variety of down-home barbecue for lunch and dinner with classic selections like slow smoked pulled pork, baby back ribs, tender smoked brisket, hickory smoked chicken and more.

Guests can choose one of the aformentioned meats (or all three with their Urban Sampler) and pair them with traditional sides like red potato salad, coleslaw, or baked beans.  Signature sides including fresh-made Urban mac n' cheese with Smoked Gouda, Parmesan, and Cheddar and pork rolls - kielbasa sausage wrapped in prosciutto - aren't to be missed either.

Of course, the other half of Urban's title mentions brews, and they've definitely got a lot of them.  Stop in for a variety of craft beers from around the country as well as a strong assortment of local Florida brews that'll make any native Florida hop head proud.
