Maybe it's just us, but studying on campus can get a bit...monotonous after a while.  Nothing against it, but sometimes you just need a change of pace to keep things fresh when it comes to the often-daunting task of studying.  Luckily for those attending USF St. Petersburg there's a wide variety of shops and the like around town to get your study on.  Here are a few of our favorites.

The Globe Coffee Lounge - The Globe is arguably, the best independent coffee hub in the Downtown St. Pete area.  Walk inside and you enter an old world cafe lined with vintage couches, tables, bookshelves, board games and more.  Free WiFi will keep you connected and assorted coffees and teas, as well as sandwiches and other munchies will keep you fueled up for a rigorous study session.

Kahwa Cafe - Kahwa's not only a great place to study, but a must try for any coffee aficionado in St. Pete.  Unlike other coffee shops, Kahwa roasts their own coffee right in St. Pete and brings it right to their downtown location just a stone's throw from campus.  Free WiFi as well as  sandwiches and other edibles  make this a suitable study spot.

Cafe Alma - Cafe Alma boats a serene atmosphere perfect for hitting the books.  Hang on their outdoor patio or head indoors and enjoy coffee, as well as a variety of delectable selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Stop in for a mid-day pick me up before hitting the books at this beloved cafe.

South Straub Park - If you enjoy a good view to ease the pain of studying, check out Straub Park situated right on the water in Downtown St. Pete.  Bring a blanket, kick back under a tree for some shade and enjoy a dose of nature with the books.
