Yeah, we know.  You're like "Thai-Mex...wait, what?" Completely understandable.  Is it a joke? A gimmick just to get people in the door?  We really don't know, but we'll tell you this, the food at Nitally's in Downtown St. Petersburg is nowhere near joke or gimmick status.  If anything, it's soaring high above it.

So what kind of food are you going to get at a Thai-Mex eatery?  For starters, Nitally's blends classic staples from each of these regional cuisines to create their take on items like a Thai burrito.  Taking traditional Thai dishes like panang curry and basil beef, throwing in a bit of soft, white rice, and wrapping it up in a succulent burrito, Nitally's takes chances, and largely succeeds, with inventive items like this one.

Another great offering at Nitally's is the Thai fried rice piled high and speckled with spicy bits of fatty, chorizo sausage for an intriguing Mexican touch to this largely Asian-inspired dish.

If the blending of cuisine from these two distinctly different regions isn't your thing, well, no worries, because the menu is actually filled with traditional thai dishes for the most part, sans a page or two of this delightful fusion.  Enjoy a variety of curries, Pad Thai, and more with the utmost sense of freshness and flavor in mind.

The place fits your typical description of "hole-in-the-wall" with about 10 tables throughout the entire restaurant and patio.  Naturally, being open for a while now in their Grand Central location, Nitally's has drawn a crowd of regulars you might have to reservation-battle with, but, hey, that's a darn good sign that you're in for some great eating amongst St. Pete's vast and competitive culinary landscape.

If you're looking for delicious, inexpensive, and wildly inventive dining in the 'Burg, we've found your new spot.  Call 'em up, snag a table, and take a new culinary adventure with Nitally's today!
