If you're looking for a night out with a touch of elegance and incredible flavor for the east, going to a sushi restaurant is a great bet.  Artfully crafted, delicious, and best of all, quite healthy, sushi is a Japanese superfood loved by Americans far and wide.

Sushi restaurants in Clearwater are anything but rare, too.  Here's 5 of our favorites you should check out soon.

Chiang Mai Thai and Sushi Bar - Get the best of both cuisine worlds at Chiang Mai in Downtown Clearwater where you can opt for traditional thai staples, go right for the sushi, or both.  Try some of the specialty rolls like the Tampa Bay with tempura tilapia, cucumber, and scallions rolled up and topped with masago or the St. Pete with tempura salmon, krab, cream cheese, avocado, and scallions.

Island Way Grill - We know this much, you're not going to find a more scenic place to eat sushi in Clearwater than Island Way Grille on Clearwater Beach.  With an outdoor deck overlooking a lagoon, you can bet your sushi dining experience, especially when the sun sets, will be a beautiful one.  Sushi rolls include the Firecracker - mixed fish, siracha hot sauce, onion, and gobo topped with tempura crunch and eel sauce - and the Kamikaze with baked salmon, cream cheese, scallions, and masago.

Yuki Japanese Steakhouse - For awesome, fresh, authentic Japanese, a visit to Yuki Japanese Steakhouse is a must for anyone who finds themselves in Clearwater.  From domburimono (Japanese rice bowls) to a wide variety of vegetarian options and, of course, sushi, Yuki is a one-stop restaurant for a Japanese dining fix.

Shiki Sushi Bar and Restaurant - A sushi bar that delivers.  What will they think of next?  That's what Shiki's now doing and for sushi lovers to busy to eat out in Clearwater, the news couldn't be better.  Of course, they're way more than that too.  Open since 1991, Shiki's been doing japanese right with an assortment of regional staples and sushi including crunchy and spicy, California, and bagel rolls.

Kaiko Sushi Bar and Restaurant - Voted #1 sushi bar by Tampa Bay Magazine for 13, yes, 13 years; Kaiko is the place to be if you want sushi done right.  Enjoy classic sushi pieces from tuna to smoked salmon, octopus, sweet shrimp, and more.  Or, opt for rolls including the Haha Special - tuna, salmon, smelt roe, and scallions- and the Mexican with fried shrimp, smelt roe, and avocado.
