"Fusion"; one of the many buzzwords thrown around fine dining establishments like it's the holy grail of food verbage that'll entice people and get them in the door.  Sure, some do it with thought, creativity, and subsequent deliciousness, but for others, "fusion" is merely something that goes on the sign and not much else.

In St. Petersburg there's a few of these places.  Alesia Restaurant takes the cake, though, at least when it comes to to an intriguing blend of cuisine from cultures across the world at a price that won't break the bank.  Blending Vietnamese, French, and Chinese cuisine, Alesia aims to create something, first and foremost, delicious, but also new and unique when it comes to dining in St. Pete.

Alesia works as both an early morning and later in the day restaurant.  Opening at 8 a.m. (except Sunday, Alesia starts the day off with an assortment of breakfast delectables including sweet crepes, smoked salmon, french toast, breakfast sandwiches and an assortment of morning beverages including Vietnamese drip coffee, cappuccinos, smoothies and more.

Head out to Alesia later in the day to see their menu really shine with classics from each of these distinct cultures.  Enjoy a bowl of traditional Vietnamese pho soup packed with thin slices of beef, rice noodles, and fresh herbs.  Or, take your tastebuds to France with selections like a croque madame sandwich - ham, gruyere, portabello mushroom, and mornay sauce topped with a fried egg - or Parisian hot dog with caramelized onions, gruyere, and mornay sauce on a fresh baguette.

Best of all, Alesia is uber-affordable with nothing on the menu breaking the $8.50 mark.  Not too shabby, right?  Head out to the new Alesia Restaurant today and give it a whirl!  Something tells us you won't be disappointed.
