Just about a month ago, we got the news that The Venue, the 28,000 square foot, multi-level nightclub and concert venue in Clearwater was closing it's doors with the possibility of re-opening with new ownership in the future.

Well, the future's come a lot sooner than we expected.  The Venue, now known as The V will re-open its doors next Friday, May 11.  Changes to the new club include the backing of new owners who've changed very little about the Venue aside from a few light renovations, new menus, and new staff.

The Venue closed in early April due to declining numbers in attendance since the fall.  When it first opened its doors back in 2008, The Venue was the first nightclub of its kind in Clearwater offering a veritable adult playground of martini bars, sushi, tapas, champagne lounges, VIP areas, and an impressive run of live entertainment all under one roof.

In fact, the live acts The Venue could pull in were likely its biggest draw.  Since opening, The Venue hosted concerts from the likes of The Jersey Shore's Pauly D., Avicii, Steve Aoki, Paul Oakenfold, DJ Jazzy Jeff, LMFAO's Sky Blu, Flo Rida, and more.
