The former Channelside dining and bar combination Margarita Mama's and nightlife counterpart Banana Joe's have recently relocated across the bay and opened their doors in the bustling area of Downtown St. Petersburg.

Located in the historic Kress Building on the intersection of Central Ave. and 5th St. S., Margarita Mama's welcomed throngs of food and drink lovers in Downtown St. Pete with a grand opening back on August 10.  Banana Joe's will soon follow with a grand opening party at their underground location beneath Margarita Mama's on Friday, August 31.

Now open for business, Margarita Mama's boasts a casual island theme accented by a budget-friendly menu consisting of "Mexican Food the American Way" according to a statement from the restaurant.  Their full lunch and dinner menu comes lined with a variety of delectable cuisine ranging from burgers to their namesake margaritas, salads, and more.  In addition Margarita Mama's boasts outdoor seating, pool tables, darts, interactive amusement games and an old school shuffleboard court adjacent to the bar, and more.

Banana Joe's sits underneath Margarita Mama's in a one-of-a-kind underground club setting with easy access from Central Ave.  Deemed Banana Joe's Underground, this subterranean nightlife destination will host a handful of nights featuring top 40 music and some of the best DJs in the area.  In addition, Banana Joe's will have two, prime VIP areas, drink specials throughout the week, and more.
