Witness the wild side of talented teen designers from Fashion Design at The Dalí program as they walk the runway in their own surreal fashion designs at Gibbs High School.
Event Details
This program invites Tampa Bay area high school students to learn the fundamentals of fashion design and runway presentation to create tangible connections between Dalí’s art and fashion. Using selected works from The Dalí Museum as their inspiration, students explore advanced sewing techniques and non-traditional material usage to bring their ideas from rendering to reality. This year’s theme, “Eleg-ants: Designs from Dalí’s Animal Kingdom,” challenges students to create concepts that draw from the many animals, insects and sea creatures in Dalí’s artwork.
