Drag Queen Story Hour: Halloween Edition

Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish.

Fun costumes are always encouraged, but especially for this Halloween edition! Community Cafe has a back door available for anyone to use if they wish to avoid having the religious cult protesters too close. We also encourage any and all who wish to stand in peaceful and silent solidarity against these cultists to come be a part of our Wall of Love. Thank you!
