Classes are held in the Raymond James Community Room or Avant-Garden, both with incredible views of the waterfront.

The Lucky Cats teach vinyasa yoga, an all-levels approach that incorporates an interplay of basic breath work, postures, meditation and relaxation. Each student is encouraged to awaken and sustain their practice at their own pace. Please arrive early on a light stomach. Don’t have a mat? We have several on hand to lend.

Michael Johnson ERYT-500 is a lead instructor in the 200 and 300 hour programs at Asheville Yoga Center, where he also teaches 9 weekly classes. He has studied Ashtanga Yoga with K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India, Integral Yoga with Swami Satchidananda at Yogaville, VA, certified in Jivamukti Yoga by Sharon Gannon and David Life and certified in Yoga and Positive Psychology by Tal Ben-shahar. He is a father of a two-year old, a dog, a cat and co-founder of the musical project Ösel.

Cost: $10 members and students, $15 non-members. Visit the galleries on the same day for only an additional $10. Tickets must be purchased together. Please register at the Member’s Desk and bring your receipt to class. Please allow time for parking and admission.
