Your Eye Sight Matters! : Macular Degeneration Seminar Clearwater, FL The Macular Degeneration Association will be hosting a FREE awareness program in beautiful Clearwater, FL on Saturday, October 27th, 2018.

Program will be held at Ruth Eckerd Hall located at 1111 McMullen Booth Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759
This program has been designed for those that have or have been recently diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration or diabetic macular edema. We encourage caregivers and family members to attend as this is a hereditary disease. The general public is invite to attend to learn more about these vision robbing diseases.
This program will cover the following subjects: age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic macular dema and genetic testing & AMD.
The program starts at 8:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast and will end at 12:00 p.m.
The Macular Degeneration Association provides a supportive learning environment for people living with macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease.
This half-day program offers a forum to hear from a prominent doctor’s about the latest research, and new treatments, therapies, and clinical trials.
At our programs you will hear from a patient ambassador about their journey with these disease’s and their successful coping strategies.
You will also have the chance to speak with other participants to learn about their successes and failures.
This program will feature Retina Specialist, Pamuela Weber, M.D. who will be discussing Age-Related Macular Degeneration: What’s New? and Diabetic Macular Edma and my Eyes.
Greg Hines will be speaking about Genetic Testing & AMD
Dr. Weber practices at Island Retina Institute in Commack & Shirley, NY

There will also be a $25.00 raffle at the end of the program-must be present to win. We will also have a cookbook called "Cooking with eyefoods" @ $18.00 ea available for purchase- this is a fundraiser for the association.
