FREE community event on Friday, September 22nd in honor of he 10th Annual National Falls Prevention Awareness Day (appropriately taking place on the first day of fall). Sponsored by the Fall Prevention Coalition of Better Living
For Seniors of Pinellas County from 1:00-4:00 pm at the YMCA of the Suncoast Clearwater Branch. Learn everything you need to know to protect yourself and your older loved ones from the serious consequences related to Falls. One in three seniors over the age of 65 will suffer from fall-related injuries -- a staggering statistic that demands attention. Education at this event will include Fall Exercise demos, home safety design, medication education, safety products and much more! Complimentary screenings by healthcare professionals for Fall Risks, blood pressure, vision, hearing, balance and mobility. A Panel of Experts will provide valuable tips from 1:30-2:30 pm. Bonus: Light refreshments and fall prevention Door Prizes! Valet parking for those needing assistance.
