In its nearly seven year existence, the Sunscreen Film Festival has grown to be a longstanding  cinematic event and one of the biggest happenings of the year in the St. Petersburg area.

This year, the Sunscreen Film Festival will go down from Thursday, April 19 to Sunday, April 22 at the Muvico Baywalk 20 theater in Downtown St. Petersburg.  The festival will feature some of the best feature and short films from up and coming filmmakers throughout the country as well as workshops, parties, and more.

In addition, Gary Sinese and the Lt. Dan Band will play a FREE concert in Williams Park for festival goers and music fans alike.  Proceeds from the concert will benefit active duty military and veterans in the Tampa Bay area.

This year's feature film will be Searching for Sonny, a mysterious tale of reunited friends, missing people, and eerie suspense sure to keep your eyes glues to the screen.  Other Sunscreen feature films include the coming of age tale, Born & Raised, Hush Hush, The Honey Killer, West is West, and Curse of Good.

The Sunscreen Film Festival will also host a variety of short films in genres including documentary and comedy.

Tickets to the Sunscreen Film Festival come in a variety of prices and sizes.   Single day passes for any of the four days are $35.  Individual feature film and short film showcase tickets typically run around $8.  VIP passes are $150 and will get you access to all the films, parties, workshops, and events throughout the festival's run.
