We are Florida's only statewide nonprofit organization exclusively focused on Florida's original fine crafts! Formally known as Florida Craftsmen, Florida CraftArt was created in 1951 as a statewide organization representing the interests of fine craft artists. "Since more than half of our artists are women, it made sense to change our name from Florida Craftsmen to Florida CraftArt,” said former Executive Director, Diane Shelly. "We also wanted to strengthen our brand to make sure our customers and collectors know that everything in our gallery is made in Florida.” We are proud to be Florida's primary and extensive statewide support system for artists working in the craft and design mediums. We work to broaden the public's awareness, understanding and appreciation of Florida's fine craft, art and design.
