The second Saturday Art Walk is just one of a ton of great art events that make Downtown St. Petersburg a fantastic place to live or visit for anyone who loves the visual arts.  On the second Saturday of each month art galleries throughout Downtown St. Petersburg open their doors to the public to show off their prized works, new exhibits, and other amenities that make their studios uniquely special.

For this month's Second Saturday on August 13, Duncan Mclellan Glass will host a special fundraising event entitled "Fish Gotta Swim, Birds Gotta Fly" to benefit St. Pete's beloved Pier Aquarium and the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary.  These are two non-profits integral to the preservation and well-being of St. Pete's natural beauty and the creatures that reside within it.

Head out to the gallery and see the work of featured artists including artist and sculptor, Ernesto Piloto-Marquez, artist, Salvador Saint Germain, jewelry artist, Patricia Lafaye, and the glass art of Duncan McClellan.

Live animals will be on hand as well. See George the Pelican, Gizmo the owl, and interact with a full fish touch tank on hand.

A bar will also be on hand to serve up beer, wine, and a specialty "St. Germain" cocktail. All proceeds from the bar as well as donations up to $1500 will be matched by Duncan Mclellan Glass.  Delectable drinks and stunning art for two great causes?  Sounds like a win, win to us.

Be sure to check out "Fish Gotta Swim, Birds Gotta Fly" at Duncan Mclellan Glass on August 13 as part of Downtown St. Pete's Second Saturday Gallery Walk.
