Our Mahaffey “street closing” had been applied, approved and reserved for over four months and recently the City Council approved an event that took precedent over our reservation and we lost that location.
Our new location will be on lot 1 at Tropicana Field. It is directly west of the trop right across 16th street on 3rd Ave. S. and 16th street. Plenty of parking in the green grass parking lot next to the parking lot 1 on which we will rehearse and tape. We will have two port-a-lets on the lot (but not on the 50 yd line).
Enter on 16th Street to 3rd Ave S. Park in the grass on the right!
We will begin at 8:30 a.m. to beat the heat. We suggest musicians wear their blue pants and white sneakers and bring your coat, gloves and hat to put on later when we tape. We will have one hour break between practice and taping to allow time for those who must change to find a place to do so. We are hoping the Trop will allow us entrance, but don't know at this time.
Rounderettes, Majorettes, Rifles, and Flag Line, for Saturday rehearsal and Filming: You can wear whatever you would like to practice in, but be prepared to not have much for changing facilities, so maybe think: Sports Bras and Biker shorts". For Filming, Short Sleeve White V-neck shirts, under Tunics, blue pants, white shoes, and NO Red Head Band at Filming (Yes, we will wear them in NYC)
Tall Flags, Letter carriers, Banner and Honor Guard have Saturday, Oct 26th OFF, enjoy the break, join us at Ferg's if you'd like!
Again, please bring water and sunscreen. Maybe a camping chair for the "break" if you would like!
**After rehearsal you are all welcome to join us
across the parking lot at
