Pierogis, or fried Polish dumplings, are heavenly, plain and simple. The only problem is, they're not the most common item on your typical restaurant menu. Sure, if you're of the Polish or Eastern European lineage you've probably got an elder who makes these, likely from scratch, much to the love of family members across the board, but finding these little delicacies was difficult for us, at least until now.
Pierogis come with the option for an impressive variety of fillings at Pierogi Grill. For the savory side of things they offer flavors including sauerkraut and mushroom, potato and white cheese, pork, and spinach. All of these pierogi flavors are served with melted butter and sauteed onions.
Pierogi Grill caters to the sweet tooth in Clearwater as well. Sweet pierogi flavors include strawberry, blueberry, plum, cherry, and sweet cheese. These come served with sweet cream.
In addition to pierogis, Pierogi Grill serves a variety of traditional, European stews. Bigos, or hunter's stew, is actually the Polish national dish and comes packed with pork and Polish sausage, cabbage, sauerkraut, dried mushrooms, tomatoes, and prunes all served in a bread bowl.
This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the eclectic variety of menu items at Pierogi Grill. The only way to get a real grasp of all they have to offer is to make a visit. If you're looking for something off the beaten path, a hidden gem if you will, in Clearwater, Pierogi Grill is a great bet.
