Event Details

Your admission is FREE to this official UFAA Outreach to meet Dr. Royce and hear him highlight “Cuba: Part of the Gator Nation? Opportunities in Business, Travel & Agriculture”
With his long research connection to Cuba, particularly its agriculture, he will cover how the history of UF and its Center for Latin American Studies are strongly linked to the history of Cuba and the University of Havana, in particular. This dates back to the 1930’s and most recently, in Fall 2015, the Center was renewed as a Title VI National Resource Center in Latin American Studies and received a four-year grant from the U.S. Dept. of Education. The UF Cuba Program will continue to receive seed funding for its collaborative research activities with faculty at the University of Havana. During this cycle, the UF Cuba program will focus on working groups in agriculture, ecology        and historical preservation, among other topics.
