Event Details

Americans are great at supporting the military through posters and words, but our society does not effectively give returning troops what is most prized: a sense of purpose and belonging, commaradarie and jobs. A task force established by the House Committee on Veteran's Affairs has been formed to look at the issue of military to veteran transition from a holistic perspective. This Memorial Weekend, join local former military members as they share their stories of service, sacrifice, struggle, transition and growth and lend your voice towards this important policy reform effort.  Together we can create a better bridge to a real welcome home.
Special guest appearance by Gus Bilirakis; U.S. Representative for Florida’s 12th Congressional District and Vice Chair of the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs
