Fall is slowly approaching and in Witch tradition since October 2011 we celebrate the season with our annual Pumpkinfest. On October 21st is the 2017 date and like each year we will have a variety of specialty season pumpkin beers on tap and live music.
Event Details
The beers have been hitting the shelves for weeks now (even though it is 90+ degrees out still and summer hasn't even ended). We hold back so we can enjoy them when it IS season and Fall is upon us, thus late October before Halloween each year.
Our list will be an ongoing thing and each time we do secure a keg/beer here we will let you know. Currently hanging out in the back room keeping cool are these brews already- Kentucky Ale Bourbon Barrel aged Pumpkin Ale, New Belgium Brewing Voodoo Ranger Atomic Pumpkin (made with habanero peppers too), Southern Tier Brewing Company Warlock (imperial porter base) and Ballast Point Brewing Company Pumpkin Down (Scotch ale base).
We reached out to our friends over at Tampa Bay Brewing Company and they are making a very special version of their Imperial Gourds Gone Wild for us in a cask with Chocolate (this will be on our beer engine for this event at 4pm).
A unique assortment of other selections will be added as they come into our market.
Live music features some fun pickin' Bluegrass during the afternoon with The Florida Mountain Boys from 4-7pm followed by our traditional side by side night stage with these two bands rotating sets and joining in for a massive Pumpkinfest jam at the end- The Applebutter Express and Between Bluffs from 8 to midnight.
Our yearly bring a carved pumpkin in for a $10 gift card will be again part of this day and we will be receiving these carved pumpkins anytime from 2pm until 7:30pm when they will all be lighted and placed around the concert stage at 8pm.
Autumn is around the corner, cooler weather and seasonal ales will be a great combination here at the witch for fun Courtyard event.
