Creative Pinellas is pleased to announce the 2018 Arts Annual exhibit and fundraiser opening Thursday, Nov. 8 with a reception at the Gallery at Creative Pinellas.
Event Details
This exhibit will feature works of visual, literary and performing art from the organization’s 2016 and 2017 artist grants. Featured artists include:
Sculptors and painters Mark Aeling, Elizabeth Barenis, Nathan Beard, Chris Chomick and Peter Meder, Shannon Leah Halvorsen, Kenny Jensen, D Yael Kelley, Steven Kenny, Ya La'ford, Carol Mickett and Robert Stackhouse, Rose Marie Prins, Babs Reingold and Jake Troyli; musicians and composers, Elizabeth Baker, Mark Feinman, David Manson, and Tom Sivak; writers, actors and filmmakers Greg Byrd, Roxanne Fay, Gloria Munoz and Desiree Moore, and Lisa Powers Tricomi; and dancers and choreographers, Helen French and Andee Scott.
The opening reception starts at 7 pm in the Gallery at Creative Pinellas (formerly the Gulf Coast Museum of Art in Largo) and will feature live performances in addition to visual art. Tickets for the opening reception and artist meet-and-greet, which support Creative Pinellas programs like the individual artist grant are $25, with VIP tickets (including an hour of live performances starting at 6pm) at $50. Some of the work will be available for purchase at the event and for the following two weekends (through November 8) when Creative Pinellas will continue to be open, to optimize the community’s ability to see this exciting work.
