Amanda Re- A Spotlight on The Orpheum

When you think about Ybor City legacies, obviously The Orpheum ranks supreme. This glamorously gritty event venue has been around for nearly two decades and has hosted some of the most up-and-coming artists to date. The aesthetically dark venue favors a classic organic nostalgia that demands notoriety. Digital event promos and viral recaps just don’t do it justice. This nightlife monument is seriously worthy of your full attention. If you need more convincing, take a stroll down 7th Ave. and you’ll see The Orpheum’s concert posters displayed proudly in the windows of Centro Ybor community supporters. Bottom line, if you want to experience real, raw, uncut talent, you need to be at The Orpheum.

Was it a long week for you? Are you in need of relaxation? Here are three ways to relax and unwind in Tampa this weekend!

Kayak or Walk at Lettuce Lake Park

Lettuce Lake Park is a beautiful place to take an afternoon or morning walk along the boardwalk or canopy covered paths. Chances are good that you will see a alligator bathing in the sunlight or a turtle catching some rays! If you want to get up close and personal with these animals take your kayak or canoe out into the open water for a relaxing drift over the waterway.

Free Yoga in the Park

Work on your flexibility and tranquility as you watch the sun set over Curtis Hixon Park during the free yoga session in Downtown this Sunday night at 6pm. It’s the perfect way to rejuvenate yourself before another long work week in the office.

Take a Trip to One of Tampa's Many Dog Parks

Dog Moms and Dog Dads know that there’s nothing that makes them feel better than seeing their furry friend make friends and wag their tail at each new buddy they meet! Stop by one of the various Tampa Bay Dog Parks for some fun and relaxation this weekend. Whether you need some kisses in the form of slobbery licks or just a buddy to play fetch with, this is a great place to get that needed attention!
