The Tampa Museum of Art is hosting the Pride & Passion 2017 Gala, a premier fundraiser that works closely with the LGBT community. You can join the unique celebration of diversity on Saturday, April 29 at 8 p.m. Wells Fargo is the Presenting Sponsor.

The Pride & Passion event benefits everyone as it raises funds to reduce barriers to admission, creates safe spaces for people to experience the arts, and celebrates local talent in the Tampa Bay area.

Known for its eclectic mix of people, eye-popping decor, and breathtaking live performances, Pride & Passion is a major event in the area’s rich arts scene and draws more attendees every year. The Tampa Museum of Art, where the gala takes place, is a work of art in itself with its vastly spacious, modern architecture and becomes even more spectacular when it's transformed into the world of the year’s theme.

Pride & Passion is a party you DON’T want to miss because this year’s event takes a fun, French twist with Cirque de Mascarade. This year’s theme is inspired by the circuses, cabarets, and vibrant performance halls frequented by nineteenth-century artists, intellectuals, and writers in Paris.

Attendees are encouraged to come “dressed to impress” with a bohemian flair to reflect the artsy, liberated spirit of nineteenth-century Paris. If you aren’t sure what to expect or what to wear, think Moulin Rouge! (2001 film) with its vibrant colors and avant-garde style. Cirque de Mascarade is the time to break out that outlandish ensemble or zany statement piece!

Tickets for this year’s Pride & Passion are $100 in advance ($125 at the door), which includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, open bar, and membership to the museum. Kenneth Pages, M.D. & Ryne Gallien are a Ringmaster Sponsor and Urban Living Tampa Realty, Strategic Property Partners (SPP) and the DeBartolo Family Foundation are Harlequin Sponsors for this special evening.

When you’re a Tampa Museum of Art member, you get free admission to the museum as well as free or discount admission to other museums including the Florida Holocaust Museum in St. Pete and Clearwater Marine Aquarium. You also get free admission to the museum’s exhibitions and lectures as well as discounts on select classes and programs.

The inclusion of a museum membership in your ticket purchase allows you to not only experience fine art during Pride & Passion 2017 but every day of the year.

The Tampa Museum of Art hopes to see you under the big top for a night of art and revelry at Cirque de Mascarade!
