First Night St. Petersburg is far and beyond the largest New Year's Eve celebration in the 727 area.  Over 20 stages, all across Downtown St. Petersburg, collaborate for First Night to create a family-friendly celebration of epic and artful proportions rife with fireworks, live music, entertainment, and more.

If you've got kids in tow, First Night is an ideal New Year's Eve event for the entire family.  There's no alcohol served at any of the First Night venues and many of its attractions are geared towards fun loving kids of all ages.

FirstKids is a must visit activity for families visiting First Night.  It goes down at The Pier and kicks off at 5 p.m.  Enjoy a wide variety of kids activities on the third floor and in the Dockside Activity Room until 8 p.m.  After, join the rest of the families as they proceed downtown to watch the dazzling fireworks display over the water at 9 p.m.

Details on First Night St. Petersburg are still forthcoming, but if it's anything like it's 17 previous years in the St. Petersburg area, we can expect a solid variety of live music, entertainment, drama, and so much more on these stages dotting the downtown area.

Last year, American Idol finalist, Mike Lynch played on the main stage in North Straub Park to cap off all the great entertainment at first night.  Who can we expect this year?  It's hard to tell, but you can bet it'll be pretty awesome.

Tickets, or badges should we say, for First Night run in the $10 range.  They're not available quite yet, but we'll definitely keep you posted when they, as well as more details on First Night, become available.
