Just a few weeks ago we brought you the news that St. Petersburg would play host to its first large-scale electronic dance music festival, the Downtown Digital Block Party, on June 2nd at Jannus Live.  Now, the artist lineup for the festival is out and it's definitely shaping up to be one hell of a party at Jannus come Saturday, June 2.

The big names at Downtown Digital will include Ladytron (playing a DJ set), Mustard Pimp, BoomBox, Amtrac, and Sounduo.

While maybe not the biggest names in the electronic dance music scene today, that's kind of the point.  Downtown Digital organizers are aiming to create a festival where exposure is the name of the game, where you can go knowing one, two, or maybe even none of the artists, and leave with a handful of new favorites.

So far, 22 acts have been announced for Downtown Digital at Jannus Live making for about 12 hours of live music throughout the day.  Festival organizers say there are more to come, too.

In addition to the headliners, there will be a number of regular Bay area DJs spinning throughout the festival including KingKrow, Subpirate, Sidedraft, and The-Event.  Other artists spinning at Downtown Digital include Sonic C, Party Supplies, Defep, Machines are People Too, Hi-Rez, Blood Eagle, Skyway, Milo & Otis, Varien, JG, DJ Kiger, DJ Leftover, and DJ Blaise James.

Wanna go?  General admission tickets to Downtown Digital are only $25 for a limited time.  VIP tickets are $60 and include access to the raised platform with tables and seating in the courtyard.
