For a one-stop shot at much of the life, culture, and cuisine Safety Harbor has to offer, a visit to Main Street is a great bet.

Home to the original town hall where Safety Harbor was incorporated in 1917, Main Street offers Safety Harbor residents and visitors alike a way to explore the cultural past and present of this great town.

Visit the Syd Entel Galleries and Susan Benjamin Glass at 247 Main Street  to see some of the best art - including hand-blown glass - in the area.  The 5,000 square foot gallery has called Safety Harbor home for over 30 years now and showcases a number of nationally and internationally-renowned artists and glass blowers.

If food and drink is more of your thing, Main Street's got you covered.  Every Thursday from October through May, the city hosts a farmers market at John Wilson Park (401 Main St.) where fresh flowers, produce, and more are available from local vendors selling at the market.  Notable restaurants along Main Street include the Green Spring Bistro featuring locally-inspired seafood, Cello's Charhouse with traditional American cuisine (also BYOB if you so please), and Crepe-ology.

Music fans will rejoice over the 3rd Friday event on Main Street.  On the 3rd Friday of each month, a portion of Main Street gets blocked off, vendors stay open late, and live music emanates from John Wilson park.  Grab a bite to eat at one of the food vendors lining the street, visit some of the art galleries, and feel good that proceeds from the event go to a different charity each month.

As you can see, there's no shortage of things to do on Main Street.  Plan ahead, make a day or night out of it, and see for yourself all the great things Safety Harbor's Main Street has to offer.
