For months now, the Baywalk complex in Downtown St. Pete has been undergoing a massive facelift with the help of St. Pete promotor and mega-investor Bill Edwards.  Edwards took ownership of the dwindling shopping and dining complex in late 2011 when he purchased it for $5.2 million, but details on the new tenants in the face-lifted complex have been scare until now.

According to a recently released online brochure crafted to entice retailers to set up shop in the new complex, the new Baywalk will, so far, feature two celebrity chef-owned restaurants; Zakarian's Steak House owned by recent winner of The Food Network's "Next Iron Chef: Super Chefs" Geoffrey Zakarian and Morimoto owned by celebrity chef and Food Network Star Masaharu Morimoto.

Eataly, a massive food market with stores in New York City and Turin, Italy, is also rumored to be a potential tenant at the new Baywalk complex.  Eataly is partially owned by another Food Network celebrity chef Mario Batali.

Edwards and other officials expected the new Baywalk complex to be finished by September of 2013.

The name will be changed as well.  According to the same online material that divulged the new tenants so far, the name, for now, will be "The Shops at St. Pete".  Officials aren't sure if this will be the official name, but they know it won't be known as Baywalk when it reopens.
