Owned by Steve Westphal, the restaurant entrepreneur behind St. Petersburg's legendary Parkshore Grill as well as 400 Beach Seafood & Tap House, The Hangar opened in mid-2010, immediately finding success as a unique destination for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks in Downtown St. Pete.
When it comes to breakfast, The Hangar opens at 8 a.m. offering an assortment of hot breakfast selections including the Round Trip - homemade biscuits and gravy with eggs; Southwest Airline - eggs scrambled with onions, pepper, salsa, and cheese in a soft flour tortilla; and customizable three-egg omeletes with fillings like cheddar cheese, onion, applewood-smoked bacon, and more.
The Hangar really shines when it comes to lunch and dinner. Head out and enjoy an eclectic assortment of entrees and more including their famous chicken and waffles made with fried ashley farms free range chicken, spicy maple sauce and gravy; stuffed chicken breasts with spinach, sundried tomatoes, goat cheese, smashed
potatoes, burgundy mushrooms, truffle cream; and pork tenderloin with braised apples, mustard sauce, and napa cabbage.
Thirsty? Chill out with one of The Hangar's specialty drinks like the Air Taxi with Puckers Lemonade Vodka, sweet & sour mix, Triple Sec, and Sprite or the Turbo Prop with Bacardi Dragonberry Rum, Bacardi Limon Rum, lemonade, and grenadine.
