If you're familiar with the Tampa Bay area nightlife or live music scene, you'll remember The Venue, the massive, 28,000 square foot nightclub and concert haven that hosted shows from The Jersey Shore‘s Pauly D., Avicii, Steve Aoki, Paul Oakenfold, DJ Jazzy Jeff, LMFAO’s Sky Blu, Flo Rida, and many more.

Back in April, The Venue, like many clubs do, closed its doors abruptly due to financial difficulties.  There was no word of a reopening in the future until new ownership came along just as quick as The Venue had closed and announced plans to reopen and improve the gigantic venue now known as The V.

Well, now The V is open and it sounds like more of the same, but better, which isn't too bad when it comes to 28,000 square feet of sushi, tapas, wine, live concerts, great drinks, and more.

The V is divided up into separate areas, each acting almost like their own establishment.  There's Crave which dishes out contemporary sushi and more, VIN, a modern tapas and wine bar, the outdoor Tropical Patio Bar, a private wine room, Speakeasy Sports Lounge, and a big stage for concerts.  Phew.  Judging by this, we think it's easy to say that one thing you'll never be at The V is bored.

The V also hosts special nights throughout the week featuring great deals, live music, and more.  Monday nights are SIN (Service Industry Nights) where everyone working in the service industry gets free cover or $5 cover with some great drink specials.  Wednesday nights play host to Double Vision club featuring the best in electronic dance music and $4 energy bombs and beer specials.
