The Nursing Program

The Dr. George Morris Earn as You Learn Nursing Program established by Morton Plant Mease Health Care attracts and retains quality nurses at a critical time in health care.  As we continue to face a nationwide shortage of R.N.s programs like GMEAYL assure quality healthcare in the Bay area.

By supporting this event you aide Morton Plant Mease in educating qualified nursing students and ensuring the highest level of care in their hospitals.  One way nursing students accepted into the program receive assistance is through a stipend created to relieve pressures from working full-time, going to school, and providing for their families.  Overwhelming support from the Tampa Bay area has contributed to the successful graduation and placement of 210 registered nurses, 170 licensed practical nurses, 378 patient care techs, and 11 Master's prepared clinical nurse leaders.  We need to keep this tradition going!
