If you've packed on a few more holiday pounds than you'd like to admit or finally decided to finally get in shape for your new year's resolution, the St. Pete Beach Classic and Wendy Johnson Memorial Run will provide a great, fun, and community-oriented running experience for those of all skill levels.

This 9th annual road race is scheduled for the upcoming weekend of January 13 -15.  The main facility will be the Sirata Resort and Conference Center (5300 Gulf Blvd.) on St. Pete Beach.  This is where the start and finish of each race will be as well as all the additional activities that will be held throughout the weekend.

This three-day weekend starts with an awesome health and fitness expo on Friday, January 13th with a ton of fitness-minded local and national vendors.

Then, on Saturday, the races will start.  It all kicks off with a 5k (3.1 mile) race at 7:30 p.m. followed by a 10k (6.1 mile) race at 8:30 a.m. then a series of kids races starting at 8:45 a.m.  Kids races are perfect for kids from ages 4 to 10 and come in four different distances perfect for any skill level.

The events is topped of with a rigorous half marathon on Sunday, January 15.  This 13.1 mile run is perfect for any high endurance runner or someone looking for a challenge.
