The South Carolina Gamecocks and Michigan Wolverines are squaring off in this year's Outback Bowl taking place on Tuesday, January 1 at the legendary Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.  But, before the first kickoff, the bowl game spirit will be in full force as the Outback Bowl Beach Day comes to beautiful Clearwater Beach this Sunday, December 30.

This free, fun, and family-friendly pep rally will take place at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort right next to the famed Pier 60 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.   Adults and kids of all ages are encouraged to come out for a fun day featuring the soft white sand and crystalline water of the beach as well as bands and cheerleaders from both South Carolina and Michigan performing live, and much more.

There will also be huge sand sculptures, live music, skydivers, a tug-of-war and other contests like pie-eating and trivia that all guests are welcome to participate in.

This huge pep gathering on the beach typically includes appearances by the Outback Bowl teams coaches and a handful of local celebrities, so don't forget that autograph book.

The Outback Bowl will kick off at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 1 at Raymond James Stadium.  For more information on the Outback Bowl or Outback Bowl-related events, visit outbackbowl.com.
