If you're looking to get out and enjoy the beautiful approach of cool, Fall weather with a dose of entertainment in Downtown St. Petersburg, check out October Music and Movies in the Park.

Going down every Thursday evening in October (6, 13, 20, 27) in North Straub Park, Music and Movies in the Park is a FREE event featuring live music, a different movie, and food/beverages each week.  This waterfront park boasts a cool atmosphere and breathtaking view of the Tampa Bay perfect for an evening under the stars.

Live music begins at 6 p.m. with the movies starting once the sun goes down.  To guarantee a good spot, patrons are encouraged to come early and bring chairs, blankets, and other accommodations for a comfortable outdoor movie experience.  A limited number of folding chairs will be available, but aren't guaranteed.   Bring your own food and drink or enjoy fare from a number of regular Saturday Morning Market vendors.

Parking for October Music and Movies in the Park is available in the nearby Baywalk and Pier parking garages.  The event is free, but donations to the hosting organization, St. Petersburg Preservation are welcome.
