While grocery stores are probably a staple in the majority of our lives, they're not always the best places when it comes to a wide and diverse selection of fresh, natural foods. Compared to farmer's markets and similar events, these mega-chain stores have nothing on the wide assortment locally-produced goods you can find at these places.  For those in Dunedin, the Dunedin Green Market provides this and much, much more.

The Green Market goes down every Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Pioneer Park (intersection of Douglas Ave. and Main St.) in Dunedin.  Featuring an impressively diverse selection of vendors, the green market is the perfect place to kill some time walking around or stock up on some of the freshest foods possible for the next week.

The cool thing about the Dunedin Green Market is that there's different vendors featured on each day.  Head out there on Friday and shop from vendors selling goods including dried spices, cheese, fresh seafood, candy, bread, hummus, tea, and much more.

Or, kick off the weekend on Saturday at the Green Market and browse vendors selling things like coffee, honey, pasta, fresh produce, jam, nuts, potted plants and more.

Either way, buying from the Green Market is a great way to foster a healthy lifestyle as well as support your friends and neighbors in the community by shopping locally.

The Dunedin Green Market is pet friendly and live entertainment is typically featured on many of the days.  If this sounds cool, do something good for yourself and the community by heading out to the Dunedin Green Market this weekend.
