Former United States President Bill Clinton will be coming to St. Pete to speak in support of President Barack Obama in the final moments leading up to the 2012 presidential election.

No specific details on time or place have been released yet but the St. Pete appearance will be one of a handful on Friday including Fort Myers, Palm Beach, Palm Bay, and Tallahassee.

Clinton has gone on record calling Florida "Exhibit A for the 21st Century economy" so expect dialogue regarding unemployment, education, and energy in St. Pete and Florida.

As new jobs in St. Petersburg begin to slowly emerge and statewide  unemployment steadily drops, Clinton should have a number of job-related talking points to touch upon at the rally.  Real estate in St. Petersburg, and by larger part, the Tampa Bay area also plays into a large part of the Florida economy Clinton has touted.

in a survey of 51 major markets appearing in the book 2013 Emerging Trends in Real Estate, the Tampa Bay area ranks 29th out of 51 major markets in the country when it comes the the area's overall real estate prospects in 2013.  As of October 2012, the average home price in Tampa has risen 4.2 percent since last year.

We'll update you when the specific details arise regarding Bill Clinton's appearance in St. Petersburg on Friday.

[Update] Clinton will speak at The Coliseum (535 4th Avenue North) in St. Pete.  Doors open at 4:45 p.m.  The event is free to attend and open to the public.  Space is limited, though.
