There ain't no party like a 97x party, and when that party is FREE with an all-day concert included this upcoming Memorial Day weekend, then you understand why the 97x Backyard BBQ is such a big deal.
This year's 97x Backyard BBQ is going down on Saturday, May 25 at Vinoy Park in Downtown St. Petersburg. Kicking off at 12 p.m., the Backyard BBQ will feature headline performances from modern prog rock outfit Coheed & Cambria as well as rap pop duo Twenty One Pilots with support from New Politics, The Features, The Virginmarys, The Unlikely Candidates, and a number of local acts.
Tickets to the 2013 97x Backyard BBQ are free, but this year, 97x will be offering $50 VIP tickets which include access to the VIP tent where all the interviews with the bands will be taking place, plus access to private bathrooms, a private bar, a meal from TGI Fridays, and more throughout the day.
Free tickets to the Backyard BBQ are available at a number of locations throughout Tampa Bay including all floridacentral Credit Union branches. While supplies last, you can get a pair of “First in the Park” wristbands at these branch locations, which will allow you to enter the park in a smaller, separate line earlier than the regular line.
