The 2013 St. Petersburg Jazz Festival will return to multiple venues throughout Downtown St Petersburg from Tuesday, February 19 through Saturday, February 23.

This annual jazz festival highlights some of the best jazz musicians from the Tampa Bay area and beyond as they perform for five nights of great jazz ranging from contemporary hits to age-old classics.

The 2013 St. Petersburg Jazz Festival is directed by David Manson with support from EMIT, The City of St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg College, Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association, NOVA 535 & ARTpool.  Venues that the festival will be held at include NOVA 535, the ARTpool courtyard, Palladium Side Door, and the St. Petersburg College Music Center.

The festival will kick off with a dazzling performance from Whitney James & Helios Jazz Orchestra at NOVA 535 beginning at 7 p.m on Tuesday, February 19.  Admission is $15.

Things will continue with a Coltrane/Cannonball Tribute
featuring Austin Vickrey, Alejandro Arenas, Jeremy Powell, LaRue Nicholson, and Ian Goodman performing in the ARTpool courtyard at 7:30 p.m. on February 20.  Tickets are $10.

After that, the 2013 St. Petersburg Jazz Festival will host a performance from O Som Do Jazz with Andrea Manson, David Manson, Alejandro Arenas, Austin Vickrey, Mark Feinman, David Cubillos & Alfredo Rivero playing at the Palladium Side Door on February 21 at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are $10.

The Paul Kruger Quartet featuring Paul Krueger, Alejandro Arenas, Ian Goodman, and John Lake will take over the SPC Music Center on February 22 for a 7:30 p.m. performance.  Tickets are $10.

And finally, the Marty Morell Group with Marty Morell, Michiko Ohta, Richard Drexler & Per Danielsson will take over the SPC Music Center one more time for a final Jazz Festival performance at 7:30 p.m. on February 23.  Tickets are $10.
