Heads up, Tampa Bay area seafood lovers.  The 31st Annual John's Pass Seafood Festival will return to John's Pass Village and Boardwalk on beautiful Madeira Beach this weekend, October 26 through 28.

This yearly festival has been a Madeira Beach mainstay for over three decades with its vibrant assortment of different seafood from local restaurants and more, live entertainment all throughout the weekend, arts and crafts shows for the entire family, fireworks, a special haunted house and much more.

The 2012 John's Pass Seafood Festival kicks off on Friday, October 26 and run from noon until 11 p.m.  Admission to the event is completely free, but, if you'd like to contribute, the nonprofit Secrets of the Sea Marine Exploration Center and Aquarium will be at the doors accepting donations.

On Friday night, there will be a Halloween Block Party in the main food court at John's Pass.  The block party will feature a costume contest with thousands in cash and prizes, fireworks launching off at 9 p.m., and a fun performance from DJ Infinite Skillz.

The festival will continue throughout Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with tons of unique retail shops along John's Pass, an arts and crafts show featuring over 60 local and visiting artists showing and selling their work, and , of course, boatloads of fresh, local seafood.
